Tilt-and-turn windows combine two opening positions in a single window: full side opening (casement) and top-tilting opening (tilt). This allows safe ventilation without fully opening the window — ideal for bedrooms, bathrooms and rooms with children.
The tilt-and-turn system is the most versatile on the market. With a simple turn of the handle, the window switches from closed to ventilation position (top tilt) or to full opening (side casement). It is the most installed system in Europe for its combination of security, ventilation and insulation.
In the tilt position, the window tilts inwards from the top leaving a gap of about 10-15cm. This allows fresh air without strong draughts, without rain entering, and maintaining security for small children and pets.

A 1-sash tilt-and-turn window (100x120cm) costs between €280 and €600 installed in Girona. With 2 sashes (150x120cm), from €500 to €1,050. The difference from a simple casement is only €30-50 per sash.
In tilt position yes, because the opening is only 10-15cm from the top, preventing access by children, pets or intruders. In full casement position, security is the same.
Yes, but it only works in full casement opening. In tilt position, the roller fly screen retracts at the top and the window opens from above. There are specific fly screen solutions for tilt-and-turn windows.
Not directly. Tilt-and-turn hardware is different and requires specific routing in the profile. If you are changing windows, we recommend installing tilt-and-turn directly — the price difference is minimal.
