About Deceuninck: the Belgian option for tighter budgets

Deceuninck is a major Belgian multinational founded in 1937 that, alongside uPVC profiles, offers a broad catalogue of construction products. In Spain it's used mainly to manufacture budget-friendly windows — a mid-range option at a competitive price. Its Elegant 70 system (70 mm, 5 chambers, Uf 1.3 W/m²K) meets Spanish CTE 2019 building regulations with low-emissivity double glazing. It's a sound alternative when the budget is tight and high-end performance isn't required. For Passivhaus construction or full-time coastal homes, we recommend stepping up to higher-end brands.

Our experience with Deceuninck windows

Deceuninck is a Belgian multinational with a broad catalogue of construction products. In Spain it's used mainly to manufacture budget-friendly windows, where it finds its best fit.

We install it when the homeowner's budget is the deciding factor and other performance requirements are standard. It's not our first recommendation for full-time residences on the coast.

For rental properties, occasional-use second homes or any project where ROI rules, Deceuninck delivers reliably at a very competitive price.

Deceuninck Elegant 70: the budget-friendly mid-range system

Elegant is Deceuninck's most widespread uPVC system in Spain. With 70 mm frame depth, 5 chambers and a Uf value of 1.3 W/m²K, it meets Spanish CTE 2019 building regulations with double glazing.

Its competitive price makes it very popular in property development and renovations on tighter budgets. Performance is solid for standard residential use.

It does not carry Passivhaus certification. If you need maximum efficiency, we recommend stepping up to VEKA Softline 82 or Ecoven Plus S82.

Deceuninck on the Costa Brava and Girona

Deceuninck is an option we install in Girona mainly for projects on tighter budgets or for rental properties looking for a functional window at a good price. It's not our first recommendation for full-time residences on the coast, where the salt-laden marine environment calls for higher-grade materials.

Frequently asked questions about Deceuninck

Is Deceuninck a good brand?

It's a multinational brand with a solid reputation in its price segment. For projects on tighter budgets, it's a valid option. For full-time residences or coastal areas, we recommend stepping up to higher-end brands.

Does Deceuninck have Passivhaus certification?

Most Deceuninck systems are not Passivhaus-certified. If you need this certification, we recommend VEKA Softline 82 or Ecoven Plus S82.

How long do Deceuninck windows last?

With proper maintenance they can last 20-25 years. As a mid-range product, the hardware and fittings may need replacing sooner than on top-end brands.

Can I fit Deceuninck on the coast?

Technically yes, but it's not our first recommendation for coastal areas with salt-laden air. For coastal second homes, we prefer top-end brands with better corrosion resistance.
